As the year 2023 came to a close, the dog-themed gaming apps on Android in Australia saw various trends in user engagement and financial performance, according to Sensor Tower's recent data. Let's take a look at how the top five contenders fared in the fourth quarter.

Budge Studios saw a fluctuating trend with its app PAW Patrol Rescue World, with weekly revenue peaking at $700K at the start of the quarter and dipping to $227K towards November, before climbing back up to $424K by year-end. Downloads showed a declining trend from 1.68M in late September to 687K in late October, with a rebound to 1.49M in the final week of December. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, decreasing from 7.65M to 5.54M in October, then rising to 7.21M by the quarter's end.

The newly released Oh My Dog - Heroes Assemble by Joy Nice Games had an impressive start with revenues skyrocketing to $3.27M in November from an initial $671K. However, revenue then declined, finishing the quarter at $471K. Downloads began at 4.05M and saw a steady decline to 86K, while weekly active users started at 4.52M and reduced to 686K by the end of December.

TutoTOONS's Floof - My Pet House experienced moderate revenue fluctuations, starting the quarter at $248K and ending at $250K. Download numbers began with 512K, decreased mid-quarter, and then increased to 648K by December 25th. Active users followed a similar pattern, with a low of 1.37M in mid-October and a high of 1.92M in early December.

Another TutoTOONS game, Fruitsies - Pet Friends, showed relatively stable revenue, hovering around $83K towards the quarter's end. Downloads saw a mix of ups and downs, peaking at 590K in November and ending with 541K. Weekly active users ranged from 1.1M to 1.44M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Save the Dog: Draw To Save by Bravestars Games, which did not generate revenue, had downloads that grew from 15 to 798K in October, later decreasing to 316K. Weekly active users showed growth from 245 to 1.54M mid-December before dropping to 1.18M.
